Dani Alves – Barcelona’s Most Priceless Asset

The Brazilian right back has returned to his deadly form recently but is likely to leave during the summer. What will Barca lose if Dani Alves leaves? A lot I think.

Dani Alves has played a significant role in Barca’s recent success and has always been crucial ever since his arrival at the club in 2008.
He possesses a unique quality that only few players have. Honestly, I cannot successfully mention up to 3 players who has such Beautiful footballing character as Dani Alves.

Not just his playing abilities set him on high standards, his Zeal and Hunger when on the field of play is second to none. He makes fouls whenever he feels fouling is the only option, he dribbles at will, his attacking ability is tremendous, his leadership at the back is awesome, He is the complete right back.

Dani’s Amazing Character..
Dani Alves personal character is also a plus for Barca. He lightens up the dressing room whenever he is around with Jokes and Music, this refreshes the Barca players and provide relaxation for their minds.

Also, Dani is ready to defend his teammates during a quarrel or fight with the opposition players as he’s done for Pique, Messi, Puyol and Neymar so many times.

The ‘Banana Lover’…
A period of Alves’ life really inspired lots of people all over the world. During a game against Villarreal last season, a fan from the Villarreal section threw a Banana at Dani only for the Brazilian to do the unexpected. He picked up the Banana, peeled the skin off and started eating it as if it was God-sent, ignoring every form of racial expression towards him. That act alone deserves a lifetime applaud. Honestly, this guy is life.
The Dani-Messi Combination.
This is absolutely unbelievable! Lionel Messi has over 400 career goals to his name but no Man on earth has assisted more goals for the Argentine than Dani Alves. Argentina and Brazil are arch-rivals but Messi and Dani Alves are like twin brothers of different mothers. Alves has assisted 40 of Messi’s goals for Barca, almost a tenth. Scandalous! There is no other Barcelona player that loves seeing Messi score than this man. I love him!
Dani The Happy Man…
A happy and cheerful heart is the most successful in life. Looking at all the Barca players, Dani always look the happiest and most cheerful. He rarely frowns or get annoyed by his teammate. He is one kind of Brazilian that loves to catch fun. Dani shouldn’t leave!

Now to his football.. Playing style.
Dani Alves has often been described as the best fullback in the world but his dip in form from the start of last season towards the middle of this season has brought loads of criticism from Barca fans. Some complained about his crosses, others his lack of instinct but just like every other Barca player this season, Alves picked great form after Barca’s 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad in January, thereafter, we have witnessed a rejuvenated, rekindled, 2009-like Dani Alves, he has re-written his name among the best fullbacks right now.
Should Dani Alves Stay At Barca?
YES! YES!! YES!!! Even a bigger YES! Dani Alves is 31 years old right now and surely has had his best years behind him but he is obviously far from being the finished article. Looking at his recent performances, he still has a lot to offer this team. No other right-back can understand the Barca Philosophy and style of play than Dani Alves. Barca needs everything about him. Absolutely everything and with his contract ending in June, it is left to the club to show him respect and offer him the best possible contract renewal. In my opinion, He deserves to be pampered! Stay Dani, STAY!!
