Yakubu Joins Reading

Championship side Reading have confirmed on their official website, the signing of former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni on a six- month loan deal.
Rreadingfc.co.uk reported on Monday afternoon that Aiyegbeni passed his medical earlier in the morning.
Aiyegbeni last played for Qatari side, Al Rayyan before his return to England.
The club’s manager Steve Clarke said of Yakubu’s move:
“He’s an experienced goalscorer. Yakubu brings a fantastic scoring record to this club and his addition will complement the strikers we’ve already got here and help us to improve as a team in latter stages of the season.
“I know all about him as a player and I have heard very good reports about him as a personality in the dressing room,” the former assistant Chelsea manager admitted.
For fans who fear what form the Nigerian will bring, Clarke says they should not panic.
“He is a no-risk signing for us and I look forward to him scoring goals for Reading FC,” Clarke said.
