Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! The 2015 African Cup of Nations has come and gone with Ivory Coast eventually crowned winners.
Now, it is high time Nigeria started preparing for a must-qualify 2017 campaign. Of course, the Super Eagles were thoroughly missed at this year’s tournament, perhaps the absense of the defending champions and the giant of Africa is something unprecedented by many around the world.
However, with the forgettable 2015 tourney coming to an end, Nigerians have been relieved the pain and anguish of not participating in the Number 1 continental football tournament in Africa. Hmm! But thank God everything is history now.

Now What’s Next For The Super Eagles?

With the atmosphere heating up at the NFF’s glasshouse on whether to fire or free Stephen Keshi, Nigerians must know that the decision would be crucial for Nigerian football to move forward.
Firstly, the board should thoroughly decide on who should be the next manager of the Eagles. If Keshi stays, it should be for at least 2 and a half reasons. And if he leaves, then the hunt for a trained, competent personnel to Coach the players should begin before the first cock crows.
Secondly, the board, the Managers and the Players should create a mission and a vision for Nigerian football in the next 3 years.
From what we’ve all noticed recently, it seems none of the three parties are a grain serious. If at least 3 representatives from each parties with opinions from fans come together to share thoughts, ideas and opinions together, than I don’t see any reason why a mere Sudan will defeat us in a match up even if the try 398 times.

What’s Up 2017!

I don’t think I need any microphone or loudspeaker to make everyone understand that Nigeria can’t afford to miss out on the next AFCON tournament, no, even the youngest foetus knows that.
2017 AFCON is a tournament we ought to feature in and win. Believe me, the tournament is like the finishing line and the race starts now. Well, I hope we are the Usain Bolt.
On a serious note, our youngsters are doing well and even the already-established grownups in the Super Eagles are magnificent, just something even smaller than a mustard seed of encouragement and understanding will shoot them like bullets. We are undeniably the giant of Africa and the powerhouse of African football. Lets get things right and go forward. Up Naija!
