It’s Not Easy To Discard Keshi- Pinnick

NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, has revealed that its not easy to just let keshi go considering his potentials, but also insists that if Keshi really wants to retain his job,he must be ready to abide by the rules set down by the NFF.

Keshi‘s future looks more certain now as it seems the NFF want to retain him, but we can’t be so sure after all, considering the fact that Daniel Amokachi is taking charge of the two international friendlies against Cote d’Ivoire and Sudan in Dubai.

Keshi, last coached the team to a disappointing 2-2 draw against South Africa during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Akwa Ibom, which ended the team’s hope of defending the trophy it won in South Africa in 2013.
“We have given him conditions and some of those conditions is for him to be ready to work with a technical performance team,” Pinnick said.
“It’s not easy discarding him and bring someone else even though people say a coach is as good as his last game, but in this case Keshi has performed creditably well,”he also added.

Pinnick upon assumption of office in October 2014 sacked Keshi even when he had no contract with the NFF. The change of tune toward Keshi by Pinnick is believed to be a move to woo top government officials who have kept Keshi in charge of the Super Eagles.
