Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles defender Azubuike Egwuekwe from Warri Wolves.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner was earlier in the week linked with a move to Premier League side West Ham. But Hapoel said on their official website on Friday they had signed the player – for an undisclosed fee.
“Nigerian Egwuekwe Azubuike landed in the morning (Friday) in Israel and signed after passing medical tests earlier this week,” the club announced it on their official website
Egwuekwe, who was unveiled by the outfit after putting pen to paper for them, was assigned the squad number three jersey.
