The Nigerian attacker has been one of the finest stars of the Turkish top-flight as he guides Trabzonspor towards a seventh league title
Reports in the Turkish media are claiming to have uncovered a scientific study that explains the outstanding football ability of Trabzonspor forward Anthony Nwakaeme.
The findings revealed that Tel Aviv University’s Dr. Haim Bilon once carried out intensive research on Nwakaeme while the Nigerian was still on the payroll of Israel’s first division side Hapoel Beer Sheva.
According to Turkey’s major news outlet Sporx, at the end of Dr. Bilon’s work, he concluded that the secret to Nwakaeme’s football success is in his muscles.
The University don is convinced that the Super Eagles star has rare flexibility, which makes him efficiently perform movements that seemed difficult with extraordinary agility.
The 32-year-old has seemingly gotten better with age, showcasing his talents with incredible consistency over his four-year spell at Trabzonspor.
Nwakaeme has notched 39 goals and 37 assists in 132 games for the Turkish side since making a €1.1 million switch from Israel in 2018.
This campaign has been particularly fruitful for the Lagos-born winger as he has contributed 14 goals (six goals and eight assists) in 19 games for the Black Sea Storm.
Nwakaeme’s latest contribution came last weekend as he provided an assist and a few breathtaking moments as Trabzonspor defeated second-placed Konyaspor 2-1.
Six-time league winners Trabzonspor currently sit top of the Super Lig table, holding an eleven-point lead, as they edge closer to their first title triumph since 1984.
