The Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho could face a five-match ban if found guilty of using abusive language on demoted medic Eva Carneiro.
According to reports, the Football Association are looking into a complaint made by a member of the public that Mourinho used sexist language towards Eva Carneiro.
The authorities received the complaint during the past week and will examine any that have been made to them.
It was gathered that the FA officials are to meet to determine what action, if any, will be taken following the complaint.
Mourinho criticised Carneiro when she ran on the pitch to treat Belgian star Eden Hazard at the request of referee Michael Oliver during the final stages of the Premier League fixture between Swansea v Chelsea on August 8.
Mourinho was seen shouting angrily while watching Carneiro from the touchline, before exchanging words as she came down the touchline to return to the dug-out.
He immediately demoted the Gibraltar-born medic straight after the game, and she has yet to return to the club’s training ground.
