In a bid to fend off suitors from signing David De Gea, Manchester United has offered the Spanish goalkeeper a juicy contract worth £350,000 a week.
De Gea, who has been linked with clubs such as Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Sainte Germain during this summer transfer window, had an unforgettable time with the Red Devils last season due to some errors he made.
However, Manchester United is not bothered with some of the errors that cost the teams points last season as they have offered him a five-year contract worth £91million. This comes after Marcus Rashford signed a new deal worth a reported £250,000 per week.
It remains to be seen if De Gea will accept the new offer from the club. United are trying to their tie down their most important players to a new deal as they attempt to challenge for the biggest titles once again.
The club are trying to convince wantaway star Paul Pogba to stay at the club while they have already signed Aaron Wan Bissaka and Daniel James from Crystal Palace and Swansea respectively.
Meanwhile, the club players have returned for pre-season training ahead of 2018/2019 season. The likes of Eric Baily who missed the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast and Juan Mata were seen at the team’s Aon training complex.
