Reigning French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain, have rekindled their interest in Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, Soccernet.ng reports.
Lookman has grown in leaps and bounds since joining Gian Piero Gasperini’s side in 2022, peaking in the last twelve months, helping club and country to significant milestones. In turn, this has sparked the interest of the big European clubs and they’re keen on the services of former Everton man.
One of those is Paris Saint-Germain. Luis Enrique’s side were keen on bringing in Lookman during final days of the summer transfer window, but a deal couldn’t be agreed.
As per PSG Talk, the Ligue 1 side remain keen on the Nigerian standout talent despite not landing him a few months ago. The forward is also open to exploring a new challenge, sparking speculation about a possible winter transfer.
There’s also interested from elsewhere, as West Ham and Manchester United are eyeing the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup winner, with Atalanta demanding over £60 million for a deal to be struck.
Italian journalist, Paolo Paganini, reiterated that PSG’s interest in Lookman remains intact.
“Lookman? I know that PSG’s summer interest has remained intact. He is on Paris Saint-Germain’s shopping list, but it remains to be seen if Atalanta can do without someone like Lookman in January,” Paganini said as revealed by Tutto Mercato Web.
Lookman hasn’t taken his foot off the gas this term, scoring nine goals and registering five assists in 15 appearances across all competitions and will be a great addition to Okocha’s side, should the deal go through.
