The Super Eagles have started training in Uyo ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin, Soccernet.ng reports.
The camp opened officially on Saturday in Uyo ahead of the game against South Africa, which will be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium. As at the last update by the Super Eagles official handle, there were 15 players in camp.
As at the time of this report, the players in camp are Ndidi Wilfred, Kelechi Iheanacho, Chukwueze Samuel, Fisayo Bashiru, Terem Moffi, Nwabali Stanley, Ismaila Sodiq, Kenneth Igboke, Ojo Olorunleke, Benjamin Tanimu, Ibrahim Olawoyin, Boniface Victor, Raphael Onyedika, Chidozie Awaziem, and Alhassan Yusuf.
However, more players are expected to link up with the team on Monday. Ademola Lookman would be one of the late arrivals because he played on Sunday for Atalanta their final game of the season.
In the video shared by the Super Eagles official social media page, the players were introduced to the new coaching staff, and they were put through regular drills. They also practiced the rondos.

The game against South Africa is a must-win one for Nigeria, who currently sit third in the World Cup qualifiers group. Anything less than three points could jeopardize the Super Eagles’ chances of playing at the next World Cup.
