Nigeria XI vs Zimbabwe: Osimhen and Lookman lead the line again as Super Eagles target back-to-back wins

Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman are the two biggest names in Nigeria’s lineup against Zimbabwe, as coach Eric Chelle has named the same starting lineup from the 2-0 win against Rwanda last week, Soccernet.ng reports

Nigeria play Zimbabwe in their sixth game of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday. The Super Eagles are fresh off a 2-0 win over Rwanda at the Stade Amahoro last Friday and they will be looking to claim back-to-back wins against the Warriors.

Going into the game, coach Chelle has stuck with the same lineup that gave him the 2-0 win over the Amavubi last week.

Chippa United star Stanley Nwabali keeps his place in between the sticks. Then at the heart of defense, Chelle has deployed Calvin Bassey and William Troost-Ekong. The fullbacks are Ola Aina and Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Then in midfield, Wilfred Ndidi will operate as the defensive midfielder, while he will have Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, and Samuel Chukwueze just in front of him. Then, Galatasaray star man Osimhen leads the attack.
