Chidera Ejuke eyes strong finish with Sevilla after torrid season

Super Eagles and Sevilla winger, Chidera Ejuke, is eyeing a finish in the European spots when the La Liga season draws its curtains, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 27-year-old pacy attacker joined the Spanish La Liga side last summer on a free transfer but hasn’t had the best time at the Ramon Sanchez Pijzuan.

Besides injuries, Sevilla’s form as a team has been hot and cold all season, with barely any form of consistency. Currently 10th in the league, Ejuke has backed Garcia Pimienta’s side to step up their hunt for European spots.

What Ejuke said

“I think anything is possible, but obviously we have to be focused and try to win more games because it’s been a while since we’ve won two in a row.

“The most important thing now is to focus on achieving that, but, of course, I think anything is possible. Still, the best thing is to take it one game at a time,” the former Hertha Berlin winger said in an interview with the Hill of Nervion.

“I don’t really think anything is missing. I just think the most important thing is that we have to give our best when we go out there, to be focused, because obviously it’s not easy.

“It’s a game of football. Everyone wants to win, but we just want to give our best, go out there and give it our all, hoping for the best,” Ejuke concluded.

Ejuke was not a part of the Super Eagles 23-man squad selected by Eric Chelle for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, but he’s urged the Nigerian team to give their all.
