Super Eagles star tops Juventus summer wishlist

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman is Juventus’ number one target ahead on the summer transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Old Lady are set to undergo some squad changes in the summer as coach Thiago Motta looks to shape the team to fit his style of play.

Also, some players will be looking to move on to other clubs. One such player is Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has had a topsy-turvy stay at Juventus.

The former Fiorentina man has been linked with some top clubs outside Italy, like Arsenal, Aston Villa, and PSG. He has refused to sign a contract extension. And with just a year left on his deal at the end of the season, Juventus are open to selling him.

Due to Vlahovic’s situation, Juventus are now searching for other top attackers to add to their frontline. Soccernet.ng previously reported that Juventus were eyeing a move for Lookman.

But in a new report, according to Juventus News 24, the former Italian champions have made Lookman their number one target this summer.

The Super Eagles star is expected to leave Atalanta at the end of the season as he is on the radar of many top clubs across Europe.

Why Juventus cannot lure Ademola Lookman

It is highly unlikely that Lookman will choose a move to Juventus or any other Serie A side. Although he has achieved personal success in Italy, he would have his eyes set on England due to its allure.

The 27-year-old forward has been linked with a transfer to Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea. If any of them can table a good offer to Atalanta and meet Lookman’s wage demands, they would likely get his signature.

Moreover, Lookman will not function well as a striker. He has excelled as a winger, and replacing Vlahovic as the focal point of the attack might not go well for him.
