Former Scotland and Aston Villa striker, Ross McCormack, has heaped praise on Super Eagles and Rangers’ star, Cyriel Kolawole Dessers, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 30-year-old didn’t have the best time during the first half of the season at Ibrox, as he lost his place in the Rangers starting eleven.
The striking position largely, became a thing of “this or that” for Philippe Clement. Dessers, after getting linked with several clubs during the winter transfer window opted to stay put, and appears to have turned things around with the Blues.
Dessers has scored 18 goals and provided five assists in 39 games for Rangers across all competitions this season, and his impressive displays drew praise from McCormack.
“I’ve been a fan of Cyriel Dessers this season. I like it when he plays. I think he gives Rangers a different dimension,” the former Rangers striker said in quotes revealed by Rangers News UK.
“I think, when he plays, Igamane’s then got the freedom to go and sort of do whatever he wants; Drop deep, link the play, turn and run at people, play. I think he looks a far better player for that.”
