Ex-Barcelona star Oshoala singles out Man United standout in dominant win over Everton

Manchester United secured an emphatic 4-nil victory at Old Trafford in their English Premier League clash against Everton

Former Barcelona Femeni star Asisat Oshoala has lauded Manchester United’s youngster, Amad Diallo, for his performance against Everton on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Red Devils, under the new management of Ruben Amorim, secured a 4-nil victory at the Old Trafford Stadium, with the Ivorian forward making two assists in the clash.

Diallo’s display, which was pivotal in the emphatic win, earned him accolades from the Nigerian international who reacted to a post shared by Manchester United on their social media.

The club’s page captioned the post: “He is seriously cooking.” His picture with the text “unplayable” on the graphics shows how impressive he was in the game. Following this, the Bay FC forward reacted under the post with “Amad 🔥😍” .

Although Amad Diallo didn’t find the back of the net, his influence on the game was undeniable, earning him the well-deserved Man of the Match award.

The Ivorian playmaker showcased his creativity with two crucial second-half assists and demonstrated his resilience by winning 11 of his 14 ground duels. His dribbling was equally impressive, successfully completing all four attempts.

Diallo also came close to winning a penalty late in the game after a challenge in the box, but the referee dismissed the appeals, allowing play to continue.

“He was really good again. He’s in a great moment but that moment started with Ruud [van Nistelrooy], so I just take advantage of his work with Amad. He was really good defending and really good attacking.” When asked about the 22-year-old forward, Amorim said.

“So he needs to continue to play like that. You could feel it at the end of the game he was really, really tired, so we need to manage that to increase physical ability.”

Oshoala was missing in the Super Falcons’ international friendly match against France in Angers due to her documentation problem in the United States.

“Asisat Oshoala is still an integral member of the Super Falcons, an important player in the team. She has some documentation problems in the US; that’s why we didn’t invite her for this game,” Madugu told Complete Sports.

The striker will be hoping to make a return to the squad for their upcoming games to make an impact.
