Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi joins Bruno Fernandes, De Bruyne and Odegaard in crucial creative Premier League stat

Super Eagles and Fulham attacking midfielder, Alex Chuka Iwobi, has been ranked amongst the most creative players of the year in the English Premier League, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 28-year-old Nigerian midfielder kicked off the year with the AFCON 2023 tournament with the Super Eagles of Nigeria, playing all seven games as José Peseiro’s men claimed a silver medal in Ivory Coast.

After the AFCON 2023 final, the former Arsenal man was subject to loads of unnecessary trolls and abuses online, but he turned the situation into a fuel to do better. He marked his return to club football with a last-minute winner against Manchester United at Old Trafford, breaking a 19-year-old record by doing so.
