“I have a lot to learn” – Victor Osimhen reveals plans to collaborate with former Chelsea and PSG strikers at Galatasaray

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has stated that he wants to build a good relationship with Michy Batshuayi and Mauro Icardi to learn from them at Galatasaray, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen had to join Galatasaray this summer after he failed to secure a transfer away from Napoli before the close of the transfer window.

It was a move that most Galatasaray fans would not have dreamed of, and he has quickly become a fan favourite. Osimhen has also automatically become the first-choice striker at the club, displacing Icardi who has been at Galatasaray for the past two seasons and Batshuayi who just joined from Fenerbahce.

Nonetheless, due to Batshuayi and Icardi’s qualities, Galatasaray coach Buruk Okan may have to tweak his setup to accommodate two top strikers.

Obviously, Icardi and Batshuayi would not be overjoyed that Osimhen has come to take their position. Nonetheless, Osimhen insists that he wants to collaborate with the former Chelsea and Inter Milan players and forge a good relationship with them.

“Icardi is a legend of this game. Batshuayi is also a deadly player. I have things to learn from them, we will cooperate. We will improve each other’s quality,” Osimhen said after Galatasaray’s 5-0 win on Saturday.

Osimhen will be looking to leave a big mark at Galatasaray before the expiration of his season-long loan deal in June 2025.
