Watch: Leceister City’s Wilfred Ndidi shares his verdict in Nigeria-Ghana jollof debate

Wilfred Ndidi scored four goals and made five assists for Leicester City in the 2023-24 EFL Championship

Leceister City star Wilfred Ndidi has weighed in on the never-ending jollof war between Nigeria and Ghana, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian athlete and his team are still basking in their recent victory. Last week, Leceister City celebrated their first EFL Championship title, filling the streets with excitement as fans gathered to watch the players parade with the Championship trophy.

During their celebratory moments, Ndidi was prompted by his Ghanaian teammate Issahaku Fatawu to try out and review the famous Ghanaian jollof.

In the recent video shared on social media, Ndidi sampled Ghanaian jollof rice, with Fatawu insisting “try am, you go like am”.

The football star’s verdict favored Nigerian jollof, as he acknowledged the tastiness of the Ghanaian dish but affirmed Nigerian jollof supremacy.

As Ndidi savors his final moments with his teammates and friends at Leceister City before his summer move, the Super Eagles player remains a significant contributor to the club’s success in the just-concluded Championship season.

The 27-year-old midfielder is drawing interest from several Premier League clubs including Everton Aston Villa and Newcastle United. Spanish giants FC Barcelona have also expressed their desire to sign the midfield maestro when the transfer window opens.
