Nigerian music star Mr Eazi is set to take on Fulham FC sensation Alex Iwobi in a football showdown, Soccernet.ng reports.
Iwobi had quite an impressive run in the recently concluded English Premier League season, scoring five goals and making two assists.
Meanwhile, Nigerian artist and Empawa Africa executive Mr Eazi has challenged Iwobi to a one-on-one match. The pair recently engaged in some light hearted banter on social media.
The conversation began with Eazi’s latest Instagram post, where he is captured on a football pitch, seemingly about to play a match. The music exec captioned the post, “News reaching us is that Mr Eazi aka Don Eazi has now been signed as the latest top striker for CHOPLIFE FC!!!”, joking about being singed to a football club.
Iwobi commented on the Instagram post saying “See baller!”, to which Mr Eazi responded “Make we do one against one make I show u my skills!!!”.
Fans also took to the comment section to express their anticipation for the face-off between the Nigerian stars.
In other news, Iwobi recently expressed no regrets about pledging allegiance to Nigeria over England. The football star in a recent interview stated, “I’d like to say I respected England, they gave me a lot of opportunities and I was able to make them proud, but I feel more at home with Nigeria. I feel this is where I’m at home and where I represent, like my family, everyone. I’ve grown up in a Nigerian culture so I’d say that I have no regrets about picking Nigeria over England”.
