“How is this offside?”– Angry Okoronkwo reacts to Super Falcon’s canceled goal vs Cameroon

The Super Falcons of Nigeria tackled the Cameroonians Indomitable Lioness in Douala for ther first-leg of their Olympic qualification tie

Super Falcons forward, Esther Okoronkwo, has voiced her frustration over a controversially disallowed goal during Nigeria’s Olympic qualification clash against Cameroon, as reported by Soccernet.ng.

In the first leg of the doubleheader clash in Douala, Esther Okoronkwo, playing for Costa Adeje Tenerife, had a goal disallowed for offside.

The opportunity arose from a beautiful pass by Nigerian captain Rasheedat Ajibade, which Okoronkwo confidently blasted past Cameroonian goalkeeper Bihina.

Upon reviewing the footage, it became evident that the match official’s decision was incorrect, leading to Okoronkwo expressing her displeasure on her Instagram story.

In her posts, she initially wrote, “Their fada left yanch,” accompanied by an eye emoji, followed by questioning the offside call, and finally, expressing frustration over the disallowed goal.

As the Super Falcons prepare for the second leg of the doubleheader clash against Cameroon, scheduled for Monday, they are determined to bounce back strongly. The match will take place at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Having been absent from Olympic qualifiers for the past 16 years, the Super Falcons are eager to secure a ticket to compete in Paris, where the event will be held.
