Ex-Arsenal star William Gallas tips Osimhen to move to Chelsea

Osimhen has been linked with a transfer away from Napoli, and Gallas believes that his likely destination is London

Former Arsenal player William Gallas has tipped Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to move to Chelsea in the summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen is currently one of the hottest properties in Europe, following his accomplishments with Napoli for the last two years.

The Super Eagles star has scored 49 goals in his last two seasons with the Partenopeans. Last season, he became the first African to win the Capocannoniere, helping Napoli win their first Scudetto in 33 years.

Osimhen’s exploits have made him a target for some of the top European clubs, with Arsenal, PSG, Chelsea, and Real Madrid all rumoured to be interested.

The 25-year-old hitman just signed a contract extension last December, but from all indications, a summer exit seems likely, and the two major contenders are Arsenal and Chelsea.

Former France international Gallas, who played for the Blues and the Gunners, has predicted Osimhen’s next destination, and he believes that the former Lille man will join Chelsea.

“In my opinion, he (Osimhen) will sign for Chelsea next summer,” Gallas said per Napoli Magazine. Personally, I don’t know Victor, but I notice a resemblance with Didier Drogba.

The latter, he was really strong in the penalty area. Osimhen, on the other hand, is even faster.”

With Osimhen’s quality, any club that wants to sign him would have to cough out at least €120 million.
