The AFCON final will be a clash between two of Africa’s major heavyweights, and the Presidents of both countries will be available to cheer their teams on

The Confederation of African Football President Patrice Motsepe has revealed that Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu informed him that he will be at the stadium to watch the Africa Cup of Nations final, Soccernet.ng reports.

Ivory Coast and Nigeria will lock horns in the final of the 2023 AFCON in a winner-takes-all encounter. This year’s AFCON has witnessed a lot of shocks, and fans will be treated to a deserving showpiece on February 11 when the final goes down at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara.

The stadium is expected to be dominated by Ivorians because it is their own turf, and they would be looking to cheer their team to victory.

Nonetheless, the Super Eagles will not be alone, as they would have the backing of some travelling fans and Nigerians who live in Cote d’Ivoire.

Also, in a new development, the CAF President Motsepe has revealed that President Tinubu will be at the stadium to support the Super Eagles.

It will be President Tinubu’s first appearance at the 2023 AFCON, and Nigerians will be hoping that his presence in the stadium will inspire the Super Eagles to victory.
