Messi is regarded as one of the greatest , and Odumodublvck has drawn somever to grace the football pitche inspiration from him
Nigeria Afrobeats star Odumodublvck has revealed that Lionel Messi’s World Cup triumph in Qatar 2022 is a source of inspiration to him, Soccernet.ng reports.
Argentine maestro Messi is regarded as one of the greatest footballers . The former Barcelona ever to grace the pitchman has had a successful and trophy-laden career for club and country.
However, throughout his career, Messi has had one rival- Cristiano Ronaldo. Since 2007, the Portuguese forward has also lit up the world with his brilliance on the pitch, and a healthy haul of five Balon d’Or awards is a huge proof of that.
Nonetheless, Odumodublvck believes Messi remains the best player in the world. Aside from his record-eight Balon d’Or awards, the former Barcelona man also has the World Cup to show. But this cake after several disappointments. Messi to German in the quarterfinal in 2010, lost the final to Germany in 2014, and lost in the round of 16 in 2018, before finally striking gold in 2022.
To Odumodublvck, the 37-year-old Argentine’s life is an inspiration as he believes their lives have taken a somewhat similar pattern.
“Messi is the king of football, cleared everybody’s doubt and he won the World Cup after losing four or five finals with Argentina. That is a symbol of hope and determination,” Odumodublvck told the BBC per One jobless boy.
“Dont give up. I’m 30years old. A lot of artistse blew up when they were 20-21, I know how far I’ve come to get here. It took me seven years to get to this point. So when I look at Messi I draw inspiration. That’s why he’s the greatest.
Both Ronaldo and Messi have reached the twilight of their careers, with Ronaldo in Saudi Arabian Professional League side Al Nassr, while Messi is at MLS side Inter Miami.
