Report: Super Eagles star to watch Napoli vs Union Berlin UCL clash from the stands

Victor Osimhen has been out of the Napoli Sqaud since he picked up a knock while on international duty for the Super Eagles of Nigeria

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, is prepared to support his Napoli teammates from the stands as they take on Union Berlin in their UEFA Champions League Group stage match today, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has been sidelined due to an injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria against Roberto Mancini’s Saudi Arabian side.

The injury sustained by the Nigerian forward kept him out of crucial games against Union Berlin in Germany, Verona, Salernitana and Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan.

During his recovery period, the 24-year-old forward also took a two-week leave due to the Napoli-TikTok saga and personal matters involving his brother-in-law in Nigeria, which kept him away from Naples for an extended period.

However, reports from Italian media outlet Tutto Napoli indicate that the Super Eagles star is set to make his return today, allowing him to support his team from the stands during the reverse fixture against Union Berlin.

At the national level, Osimhen is expected to miss the Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, presenting a selection challenge for coach Jose Peseiro as they prepare for these upcoming matches.
