Serie A: Stefano Pioli set to hand Samuel Chukwueze another chance

Samuel Chukwueze moved to join AC Milan from Spanish side, Villarreal CF, during the 2023 Summer transfer window

AC Milan’s head coach, Stefano Pioli, is reportedly considering making changes to his team’s attack as they prepare to face Genoa today, Soccernet.ng reports.

Meanwhile, Nigerian forward, Samuel Chukwueze, who has seen limited playing time since his move from Villarreal CF to Serie A, might have a chance to shine in this match.

Chukwueze had previously featured in a game against Cagliari, where he made his first start for Milan and also a significant impact in Milan’s 3-1 victory.

However, he has often found himself on the bench, with Christian Pulisic being the preferred choice for Pioli.

A recent report from Italy suggests that Pioli could introduce Chukwueze into the starting lineup for the Genoa clash at 8 pm.

Chukwueze had a 22-minute cameo in Milan’s draw against Borussia Dortmund, and SkySports.it predicts that Pioli might make two changes to his attacking lineup compared to the game against the German side.

Milan sources have also hinted at the possibility of Pioli fielding Noah Okafor, Chukwueze, and Rafael Leao in the match.

Chukwueze, who is yet to score his first goal for AC Milan, will be eager to make the most of this opportunity and establish himself as a valuable choice for Pioli.

As Milan takes on Genoa, fans will be watching closely to see if Chukwueze can make a significant impact and open his goal-scoring account for the Rossoneri.
