Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti warns of ‘very dangerous’ Victor Osimhen ahead of UEFA Champions League clash

The Nigeria international is the most valuable player in the Italian Serie A, credentials that will be put to the test by Los Blancos

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has warned his charges to be wary of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen when both teams meet on Tuesday night, Soccernet.ng reports.

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Serie A champions Napoli are set to clash in a matchday two meeting of the UEFA Champions League at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Napoli will plan to capitalise on the attacking talents of Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia to potentially upset Real Madrid, the most successful club in Champions League history.

Osimhen showcased his abilities last season by netting five goals in the competition, guiding Napoli to their first-ever quarterfinal appearance. Furthermore, the Nigerian international clinched the top scorer title in Serie A with an impressive 26 goals in 32 league appearances last season.

Osimhen has continued to impress for Napoli in the current season, demonstrating his goal-scoring capabilities with five goals in seven league outings.

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s boss, acknowledged the talents of these forwards, stating,

“They are very good forwards who have really broken out in the last year; they have demonstrated their quality and shown they are top-level players.

“They have amazing talent with different characteristics. Kvaratskhelia is very strong one-on-one, and Osimhen is very dangerous.”

Osimhen’s recent performance adds weight to Ancelotti’s statement, as he found the net for the second consecutive Serie A match during Napoli’s 4-0 victory against Lecce over the weekend.
