English Premier League side, Manchester United, in collaboration with Adidas have released a new LFSTLR collection jersey and featured Nigerian Afro-beats star, Adekunle Gold, Soccernet.ng reports.
Adekunle Gold, 36, is a popular Nigerian Afro-pop genre singer, who has given the Nigerian audience the thrill of nostalgia in his music, combining it with the modern Afro sound to create his own distinct style, and is also married to another extremely talented vocalist, Simi.
A Manchester United fan himself, Adekunle Gold was featured on Manchester United and Adidas’s new LFSTLR collection of traditional sportswear.
The new Sportswear is a part of Adidas’s commitment to Environmental sustainability, as a minimum of seventy percent of the product range is a blend of recycled and renewable materials which incorporates heavier superior fabrics for added comfort and a premium trim execution.
According to Manchester United’s official website, the LFSTLR collaboration takes United’s game off the pitch and into the world of fashion, where the red devil is represented in both style and comfort as it transcends traditional sportswear, offering fans a chance to express their love for the club through contemporary fashion.
For the supporters, it simply means that they can be United everywhere and at any time. The collection, inspired by the game but built for the culture, provides a unique opportunity for the Reds to exhibit their club pride in a distinctive and comfortable way.
Aside from Adekunle Gold, some popular figures were featured as well. People like poet Dr. John Cooper Clarke, Lisandro Martinez, Adekunle Gold, and The KTNA.
