The Nigerian sensation, who this season transferred from Lorient to Nice, has tallied 19 goals in all competitions
Super Eagles forward, Terem Moffi has been selected as one of the eleven candidates for the Marc-Vivien Foé medal, which honours the top African player in Ligue 1.
The award, presented by France 24 and RFI among the eleven contestants for the Marc-Vivien Foé award, honours the top African player competing in the French tournament each season.
Having double-digit goals for FC Lorient and Nice this season, the 23-year-old was given consideration for this honour.
For the award, the Nice forward will compete against Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Yunis Abdelhamid (Reims), Mama Baldé (Troyes), Mohamed Camara (Monaco), Habib Diallo (Strasbourg), Seko Fofana (Lens), Chancel Mbemba (Marseille), Marshall Munetsi (Reims), Salis Abdul Samed (Lens), and Hamari Traoré (Rennes).
The Nigerian, who will get his first award, has been spectacular in 2022–23, with 16 goals and 2 assists in the domestic league, scoring 19 goals in total throughout all competitions.
Meanwhile, recently, he recently attracted media notice when he scored an overhead kick to quiet FC Basel supporters at home, giving him three goals in the Europa Conference League.
He has clearly earned the award, which will be decided upon by a panel of close to 100 former players and journalists who specialise in French and African football.
The two media outlets will announce the winner on Tuesday, May 30.
