Everton to rival Arsenal, Aston Villa, Real Madrid for Super Eagles attacker

Everton are looking to add some bite to their attack in the summer, and a move for the Nigerian wingers seems to be in the works

English Premier League club Everton are looking to beat Arsenal and Real Madrid to the transfer of Super Eagles attacker Samuel Chukwueze Soccernet.ng reports.

Chukwueze is having a brilliant campaign with Villarreal, registering 13 goals and 11 assists in 41 appearances.

The 23-year-old Nigeria international has come into his own since Quique Setien took over at the Ceramica. However, Chukwueze raised eyebrows after his brilliance against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu when Villarreal won 3-2.

Chukwueze scored two beautiful goals in the tie and after the game, there were reports that the Super Eagles star is a target for Real Madrid. Arsenal were also linked with him during the last transfer window.

According to Goodison News, Everton also want to add Chukwueze to their squad. The Toffees have struggled to score goals this season, and the club feel that he could solve their issues next season.

However, Everton have to preserve their Premier League status first. The Toffees sit 17th on the Premier League table, only separated from the relegation zone by goal difference.

Getting Chukwueze would also require big money as Villarreal may demand in excess of €50million.
