Victor Osimhen has 15 goals in 23 appearances for the Nigerian Super Eagles
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reacted to Jose Peseiro’s 23-man call-up before the Super Eagles’ match against Guinea-Bissau in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying round.
The hot-shot Napoli attacker is named in the Portuguese manager’s list for this month’s match against Guinea-Bissau, among other players.
The 24-year-old made a social media statement regarding his attendance before the match following the Parthenopeans’ match against Torino.
The former LOSC Lille striker once again displayed his talent by scoring two goals to lead his club to their 23rd league win.
The Super Eagles talisman opened the floodgate of goals for Luciano Spalletti’s team by rising to meet a corner from Piotr Zielinski and converting with a powerful header. In the 51st minute, he also sent a well-placed header past Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.
The Nigerian turned to social media to share his happiness and declare a new ‘focus’ for himself after scoring his third brace of 2023 and guiding his side to a 4-nil triumph.
“Another win, another brace. Focus now on the game against Guinea-Bissau. God is the greatest 🙏🏽⚽️⚽️” he wrote.
As the AFCON doubleheader matches with Guinea-Bissau approach, the Napoli forward is expected to increase his goal total with the Nigerian men’s senior team when he makes his first appearance for the Super Eagles since June.
