“Onuachu is class”- Danish footballer showers praise on Super Eagles star

Onuachu has been one of the best players in the Jupiler League in the last two seasons, and Carstensen is full of admiration for him

Belgian defender Rasmus Carstensen has revealed his admiration for Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu.

Onuachu has excelled in Belgium in the last two seasons. The Super Eagles striker was the highest goalscorer in Belgium two seasons ago with 33 goals.

Last year, he found the net 21 times in the Jupiler League. This season, the 28-year-old hitman has scored 13 goals in 14 games for the Limburgers, and he sits pretty at the top of the Jupiler League goalscorers chart.

Onuachu’s teammate Carstensen, who just joined the team in the summer has been impressed with what he has seen from Onuachu in his short time at the club.

“He is on the top scorer list again, and a player who scores 30+ goals obviously has a level for more than the club he plays for,” Carstensen told Bold.

“Paul has a great opportunity to take the next step. He is a class guy, I can’t say anything negative about him.

“Paul is just crazy good at football. He is big and strong, and he also likes to dribble.

“When he stands up in front of someone during interval training and gets a ball, you just have to try to push him away. So he is a two-meter tall man who weighs 100 kilos.

A lot of tall footballers struggle with their legwork and are stronger in aerial situations where they can use their heads.

However, Onuachu has a towering figure, but Carstensen is impressed with how good he is with his feet.

“A huge striker who also makes home runs, it’s absolutely fantastic to watch. Quick feet, into the lane, the long corner. Paul is just really good at playing football.” Carstensen said.

Onuachu has shone like a million stars in the last two seasons, but his deal at Genk expires at the end of next season.

There is a very high chance that he would leave the club very soon especially if a good offer arrives.
