FIFA World Cup: “Mbappe is better than Haaland”- Nigerian fans set social Media alight after PSG star powers Les bleu past Denmark

The Danes put up a decent performance but France’s arsenal was packed with enough firepower

Nigerian fans took to social media to praise France attacker Kylian Mbappe after his winning goal against Denmark in their second game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

After beating Australia 4-1 in their opening game of the World Cup, France needed a win against Denmark in their second game in Doha to seal a spot in the next round.

The Danes proved difficult in the first half, matching everything France brought to them. However, the game caught fire in the second half.

Mbappe put France in front in the 61st minute, showing great composure to finish calmly in the box.

However, France’s lead did not last, as Andreas Christiensen drew level for Denmark in the 68th minute.

It looked like Denmark were going to see out the result, but Mbappe had other plans. The Frenchman brutally dispatched a wicked shot from close range which beat Kasper Schmeichel and sealed a 2-1 win for France.

Following the result, fans took to social media to praise France and Mbappe for the result, whilst others chose to compare the 23-year-old forward to Manchester City forward Erling Haaland.
