Two Super Eagles stars got on the scoresheet and were duly nominated for bagging important goals
Samuel Chukwueze was on the scoresheet for Villarreal as the Yellow Submarine defeated Lech Poznań 4-3 in the Europa Conference League.
The winger also got an assist in the game and shone like a star with a nomination for the goal of the week in the Europa Conference League cited as a major reward for his good display.
Olayinka, Slavia Prague’s most-capped player and top scorer in European competitions was also nominated for his goal against Turkish side, Sivasspor.
Both players have been nominated alongside Hasan Ali Kaldirim of Istanbul Basaksehir and FC Basel’s Burger.
Chukwueze volleyed a cross first time past the Poznan goalkeeper in a cleanly-struck goal while Olayinka was released on the right and scored from a very tight angle.
With competition appearing stiffer in both tournaments this season, their clubs have gone a step lower to the Europa Conference League but their brilliance still shows as evident from their respective nominations.
