The Super Eagles star has brought a calming influence to Rangers defense after a turbulent opening to the season
Queen’s Park Rangers coach, Michael Beale has stated that Leon Balogun’s impact since he joined the club has been immense.
Beale in an interview after QPR’s goalless draw against Stoke City described the game as a typical Championship match with little opportunities and not much in terms of quality.
He said QPR’s successive clean sheets is a result of his player’s hard work but set aside praise for Balogun who joined the team after the start to the season.
“Big credit goes to the team (for keeping two clean sheets in two games). But obviously Leon Balogun coming in is significant. His coming in has given us an experience and I’m not going to say hope, because he won’t like that, but he is an experienced head in the back four. He has helped us become stronger in the last couple of games.”
The draw against Stoke took QPR to 6th on the log after 10 games as they’ve lost just once and drawn one of their last five games.
