Nigerian radio presenter and entertainment broadcaster, Do2dtun was on the second episode of Carball with Babajide Guerrero.
Do2dtun who is also known as the EnergyGad is one of Nigeria’s best hypemen and stage killers with his great energy and riveting crowd appeal.
On Carball, Do2dtun showed his knowledge of football and discussed issues around Arsenal and how he started watching football, the World Cup and what he thinks about some footballers.
Do2dtun while attaching a player to a word given by Guerrero said Okocha reminds him of passing while Ronaldinho reminds him of football magic. He said the former Super Eagles’ captain’s passing was underrated.
“Jayjay’s (Okocha) passes were underrated but they were magic. You could talk about the dribbles but his passes were killers. We need to sit down and revisit it sometimes.”
The On-Air Personality said it was the performances of Arsenal’s 2003/04 49 matches unbeaten team that made him glue to football.
The much-talented Arsenal team of that season was one of the best in Europe and the best in the Premier League, and stamped their authority by winning a double that season.
The EnergyGad said it was Thierry Henry, Sylvain Wiltord and others that stamped his love for the game and Arsenal.
“The crop of players that made us watch football and made it more special and they were the ones that had the 49-game unbeaten run.
“The combination of Henry, Pires, Wiltord, Ljunberg brought some magic. I’ve always supported Arsenal during the times of Tony Adams and Ian Wright. I loved Ian Wright because he was a happy guy who scored goals and makes it look easy but I think what made me stick to it was when I watched those crop of players play football. The Vieira time, Dennis Bergkamp time, the class was way out of this world . That is why you see Arsenal fans are upset because a lot of them came from that era and just couldn’t let go.”
Do2dtun said Arsenal will finish in the top three this season and picked out Bukayo Saka as his favourite player in the team.
“He (Saka) has completely evolved. He’s one of the fastest growing stars in that team and with someone like that, he gets all that backlash and he keeps going. He keeps proving himself even as it gets crazier,”
“To be honest, I’m not too sure but I think France have a good team, maybe if Pogba is not there. I think Pogba is a fantastic player but his theatrics at times I think are way more than what he brings out. It’s like our expectations are high and I think if he takes football the way he takes his lifestyle, he will be one of the best ever in the world. I think the theatrics outside are way more than the game itself. He could be up there in the Ballon D’Or if he is more serious about his football.”
