Confident Peseiro reveals what he admires about Nigerian players

Super Eagles coach loves the adaptive qualities of his players to his methods as he harps on principles over model

Jose Peseiro has revealed what he likes about his players and what they bring to the general setup.

The Portuguese coach in Wednesday’s Press Conference ahead of the game against Sierra Leone said training Nigeria offers a coach quality personnel.

He said Nigerian players have quality and they learn quickly.

“I know I have players with quality who learn very quickly,” he said.

“It’s different when you train Nigeria than other teams who don’t have qualities like our players. What I know is that they learn quickly,” he said.

“I like to attack, I like to play with high pressure, I like to command the game with the ball. I can do it with 5-3-2, 4-4-2 and 3-4-3 as you want but we need time.

“It’s not about the model, the main thing is the principle.”

The Super Eagles will face Sierra Leone on Thursday and will hope to banish the memories of their five-game winless run.

Nigeria haven’t won any match since defeating Guinea Bissau at the AFCON.
