Injuries and other issues have stopped various Nigerian stars from connecting with the Super Eagles in the US as players get invitation
Super Eagles handlers have handed invitations to Lorient Nigerian pair, Innocent Bonke and Terem Moffi ahead of the friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador.
The call-ups are coming on the back of the withdrawal of goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, Sadiq Umar and Emmanuel Dennis.
Okoye, who is reportedly nursing a shoulder injury has been replaced by Hapoel Jerusalem goalkeeper, Adebayo Adeleye, while Umar and Dennis have been replaced by Bonke and Moffi.
Moffi last received a callup under Gernot Rohr while Bonke played against Ghana at the 2022 World Cup qualifying first leg game in Kumasi.
Adeleye has been much talked-about but didn’t get a chance until now. He’s rated as one of the best goalkeepers in Israel and one of Nigeria’s finest shot stoppers in Europe.
Ojo Olorunleke of Enyimba and Adewale Adeyinka of Akwa United are the other goalkeepers in camp for the friendlies.
