Europa League: Aribo reveals what will help Rangers defeat Leipzig in second leg

With almost 50,000 Rangers faithful cheering the team on, the Super Eagles midfielder hopes home advantage will count when they host RB Leipzig in the second leg

It took a long-range Angelino strike for Rangers to lose their hold in Germany.

Playing with a low block which shut the Germans out for long periods in the game, Rangers proved difficult on the night and it took a stroke of opportunism from Leipzig to take a lead into the second leg.

Joe Aribo however strongly believes that Rangers home fans can help them turn the loss around and earn a convincing win at home.

It’s not the first of such situations for the Gers as they had to overcome a deficit to defeat Sporting Braga in the quarterfinal.

“All in all, we are disappointed. We thought we could see the game out, but there’s still a big game to come at Ibrox. We wanted to stay compact and we did that for the most part until they got that goal late in the game.”

“We know what can happen at Ibrox and we’ll have the fans backing us 100%.

“We can’t wait for it, ” Aribo said after the game.
