Nwakaeme maintains hot scoring streak in Fenerbache draw

Anthony Nwakaeme scored his tenth goal of the season on Sunday as Trabzonspor maintained a grip at the top of the Super Lig.

The 32-year old former Hapoel Beer Sheva striker scored for the visitors in the 22nd minute and was a thorn in the flesh of the Fenerbache defence for long durations before his substitution in the 87th minute. It was his fourth goal in his last four games.

It was the tenth goal of the season for Nwakaeme and his nineteenth goal contribution in twenty-two games.

Mija Zayc scored Fenerbache’s equalizer in the 71st minute but it did little to dislodge the hosts from the top of the table where they hold a comfortable 15-point lead over second-placed Konyaspor.

Bright Osayi-Samuel was also in action for Fenerbache in the game. The former QPR defender was on for the entire duration of the game but couldn’t stop his countryman from doing the damage early on.

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa got a yellow card in Fatih Karagümruk’s goalless draw against Altay, while Olanrewaju Kayode came on as a second-half substitute in Sivasspor’s lone goal loss to Antalyaspor.
