The Nigeria Football Federation has released a 30-man provisional Super Eagles squad to face Ghana at the final World Cup qualifying playoffs.
Nigeria will play away to Ghana in the first leg of the encounters on the 25th of March before hosting the Ghanaians four days later.
Super Eagles recruit, Ademola Lookman, youngster Akinkunmi Amoo, and Watford star, Emmanuel Dennis have all been included in the squad.
Taiwo Awoniyi, Chidozie Awaziem and a host of others have been placed on standby. Some other players placed on standby are Chidera Ejuke, Ogenyi Onazi, Peter Olayinka, Jamilu Collins and Paul Onuachu.
Austin Eguavoen has also handed callups to Oghenekaro Etebo who has just recuperated after a spell on the sidelines. Rangers defender Calvin Bassey is also back in the team alongside Leon Balogun who’s back to fitness.
Nigeria will face Ghana in a potentially feisty West African derby as both teams vie for one of Africa’s five tickets to the World Cup to be held later this year in Qatar.
