Wilfred Ndidi was a mammoth in the Foxes midfield as they thrashed Burnley during the midweek.
The Super Eagles midfielder has said that Leicester may be on their way back to form after a tough string of results in the Premier League.
With a 2-0 defeat of Burnley away from home, it was Leicester’s first win in six games and it coincided with the return of star attacker, Jamie Vardy.
In an interview with the LCFC, Ndidi said the win is a result of their confidence and positive energy built over the past few weeks.
“It was a brilliant win the other day and a very important one for us,” the Nigeria international told LCFC TV. “We also kept a clean sheet away from home against Burnley, who are a very difficult team. I think it’s something we can build from into the next one. The three points is the most important thing.
“The clean sheet, for the confidence, it’s something we have to build from.”
Ndidi was also excited by Vardy’s return and said the win against Burnley will boost their morale as they approach the critical part of the season.
“We’ve been building up the positivity from other games,” the former Genk midfielder added. “The positive energy and positive things we do in the game. We’ve been building up there. We could see the momentum is actually coming through.
“Getting this win in the last game gave us the confidence that we can keep going because slowly, slowly, we’re steadily building to get our form back. We’re getting our game back, which is very good for us.”
Leicester currently occupy the 12th position on the log.
