The Gers dropped crucial points at Ross County, but their new signing from Premier League side Manchester United impressed
Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo has praised his new teammate Amad Diallo after the Manchester United loanee scored on his debut for the Rangers.
Amad just arrived from Premier League giants on a six-month loan after failing to secure regular playing time at Old Trafford.
Aribo, who just returned from a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations campaign with Nigeria, dispatched a perfectly weighted pass to Diallo, who promptly slot the ball into an empty net to put Rangers ahead against Ross County.
Asides from the goal, the former Atalanta man, proved himself to be a thorn in Ross County’s flesh, going on mazy runs and dribbling with accuracy.
Aribo was pleased with the 19-year-old’s ability, and after the game, he was only full of praise for Diallo.
“You could see that he was a constant threat every single time he got on the ball, and he got on the scoresheet.”
“He’s getting his numbers in already, and that’s very good to see,” Aribo said after the game as per Football Scotland.
However, despite Diallo’s excellent performance, Rangers had to settle for a draw after a goal from Ross County forward Matthew Wright in the final minute of stoppage time ensured the tie ended in a 3-3 stalemate.
Nevertheless, Giovanni Van Bronckhorst lads can redeem themselves when they square off against rivals Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Wednesday.
