Super Eagles and Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze is set to feature in his second Champions League appearance tonight.
The Nigerian international scored for the Yellow Submarines four minutes into his Champions League debut against Young Boys last month. A 92nd-minute goal from the Nigerian gave Villarreal a 1-4 away win over Young Boys.
And ahead of the return leg, Chukwueze was pictured in training alongside his teammates in Spain.
Villarreal will be looking to increase their chances of qualification from Group F with a win over the Swiss outfit. Unai Emery’s men currently sit second, level on four points with Atalanta, who take on Manchester United today.
Chukwueze would be looking to make an impact after his long injury lay-off that kept him out for five months.
Despite the Nigerian being reduced to cameo appearances from the bench for Villarreal, the Nigerian national team has included Chukwueze in the squad for their next World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria will play against Cape Verde and Liberia in the World Cup qualifiers. The Super Eagles need only one win to qualify for the next round of the qualifiers.
