Super Eagles star reacts to Anthony Joshua’s loss against Oleksandr Usyk

The Watford-born boxer lost his heavyweight titles after losing via a unanimous decision in his fight against the Ukrainian

Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi has reacted to the loss of British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua in his fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

Joshua was the favourite heading into the clash, which took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, he had no answers to Usyk’s technical skills and footwork, losing on all the three Judges scorecards.

It could have been worse for Joshua as he was on the ropes in the final seconds of the 12th round but was saved by the bell.

And following the encounter, Ndidi took to his Instagram to react to the fight. The Leicester City man did not say much but showed his support by posting a picture of the battered boxer on his Instagram stories.

Joshua has already stated his intention to initiate the rematch clause, which could see him fight the Ukrainian again in February next year.

  • Joshua fought like usyk against usyk but didn't fight like the joshua he is. Usyk noticed joshua was scared so he rushed the advantage

  • The truth is, after serious preparation by both boxers, one of them is a firm believer of Jesus Christ, while the other is not, and the one that vowed to give the praise to Jesus Christ if he wins the bout got the victory at the end of the day. I can boldly say that Jesus Christ gave the victory to Usyk. Usyk is a wise man.

    • God bless u peter, that is exactly what happen. Did u notice d same think between Fury and Wilder?? Fury was a believer of Jesus christ, flash ur mind back to dat fight, u will see Jesus at work. God first in anything u do in life, I pray AJ will turn fully to Christ for d rematch or else mmmmmmhhhh!!!??

  • I guess this has opened his eyes to the fact that when fighting his next match, he should dedicate the match to God first and then do better technically.

  • Thanks to people that comments earlier. I learnt from peter, AJ respect your maker, see you coming up again. Also, to everyone on this platform, accept JESUS and follow his steps. Nigerian fears God!!!

  • So Jesus Christ supporting fighting like boxing wwe wrestling? God Almighty and son does not accept this good for nothing job.

  • Solomon ....that is a game so it's not like war, even at war you still have to pray,so faith can work anywhere anytime.
