The Gers had a great campaign last season, winning the Scottish Premier League with an unbeaten record, but they have struggled to replicate the same form this season.
Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has stated his lack of satisfaction with the performances he and his teammates have put up this season.
Ahead of their league fixture against Ross County, the former Brighton man stated the need for improvement if they are to attain last season’s heights.
“if you look at our previous performances, it was not the face that we wanted to show. We need improvement. I think it’s clear for everyone to see,” he told Rangers media channel.
“There’s no need to sugarcoat that. But that’s the challenge at the moment for us. That’s what we need to focus on.”
Rangers have won just two of their last five matches in all competitions. It was also a close shave for the Gers on Thursday as they only managed to beat Armenian side Alashkert in the Europa League playoffs.
A second-half clincher from Morelos was needed to bail out the Scottish Champions. The Gers have struggled to create chances in games this season aside from their 5-0 Cup win against League One side Dunfermline.
Balogun has struggled to break into the starting eleven this season. He has featured only once for Rangers, which came in the first leg of their Champions League qualifiers against Malmo
