New Super Eagles star scores first pre-season goal

The pre-season games keep coming thick and fast ahead of the new football league season, which starts next month

Nigeria International Terem Moffi was on target for his French side, Lorient, in their friendly game against fellow Ligue 1 side Brest.

The formerKortrijk star, who scored 14 league goals last season, was on target in the 14th minute of the game.

Monconduit and Lauriente added to his goal before Brest pulled one back just before half-time. The match ended 3-2 after Mounie’s late goal.

The goal is his first in preseason Lorient’s preseason campaign. He will hope to replicate the same form when Lorient play in their Ligue 1 curtain-raiser match against Saint-Etienne.

The former Kortrijk man was crucial to Lorient’s survival in the Ligue 1 last season as he scored six goals in Lorient’s last ten games to help his side stay afloat.

The 22-year-old was recently made his international bow in Nigeria’s international friendly clash against Cameroon last month.

Moffi came on as a substitute in both games as Nigeria drew and lost one against their arch-rivals.
