Why Zaidu Sanusi Missed Porto’s Win Over Vitoria Guimaraes Amid Transfer Rumours

The Super Eagles star has been linked with a move to Wolves, but he missed the Dragons Primeira Liga match last night

Zaidu Sanusi missed Porto’s win over Vitoria Guimaraes on Thursday night after picking up a knock in the 1-0 win over Nacional last Sunday.

Porto manager Sergio Conceicao confirmed the injury in his pre-match conference ahead of last night’s win at the Estádio do Dragão stadium.

As a result, Sanusi missed the encounter-although Porto won without him thanks to a second-half strike from Moussa Marega.

Sanusi has been one of the revelations in the Portuguese top-flight this season. The Super Eagles star joined the Dragons from Santa Clara last summer. and has turned out to be one of the key players in the team.

The 23-year-old has featured 39 times in all competitions for Porto this season, scoring once in the league and the champions league.

Sanusi also ranks fourth among players that have covered the most distance in this season’s Champions League.
