The Nigerian forward continues his brilliant goalscoring run on Sunday, but a poor first-half performance from the Foxes leave them empty-handed
In-form forward Kelechi Iheanacho delivered another man-of-the-match display as he netted a brilliant late brace, but Leicester City suffered a bruising 3-2 loss at West Ham to depart the London Stadium without a point.
On-loan Manchester United ace Jesse Lingard netted a first-half brace, and Jarrod Bowen added a third shortly after the restart as West Ham opened a three-goal lead inside the opening 48 minutes.
Leicester were so terrible they could have conceded a fourth, but Issa Diop’s effort was chalked off due to offside following a VAR review.
But Iheanacho started the fightback for Brendan Rodgers’ side with twenty minutes left to play when he received the ball from Ricardo Pereira and smashed home a fine finish.
The Super Eagles star then grabbed his second of the game when he showed good awareness to react first to a loose ball to fire home in the 91st minute.
There was, however, no time to complete the comeback as Leicester City succumbed to a second consecutive league defeat following last week’s home loss to Manchester City.
But Iheanacho keeps up his fine scoring form with the Super Eagles striker now boasting 14 goals and three assists in all competitions for the Foxes.
