Reports: NFF Set To Incur The Wrath Of Super Eagles Players

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the country’s football senior national team are set for a collision course, which could affect the team’s future engagements

Super Eagles stars are being owed outstanding bonuses for over a year by the NFF and the players are not happy with the situation.

According to respected BBC journalist, Osasu Obayiuwana, the NFF has not paid the team since their semi-final clash against Algeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

In that period, the Super Eagles have played a total of nine games, but are still yet to be paid bonuses for any of the matches.

This has left the players unhappy- although they haven’t spoken publicly about it. The three-time African champions do not play a game until next March when they take on the Benin Republic in their penultimate Afcon qualifier.

It remains to be seen if the NFF can find a solution before then.  However, Soccernet will provide more details as things unfold.
