His last goal came in the third league game of the season, but Joe Aribo is back scoring again following his return from injury
Super Eagles star, Joe Aribo scored his second goal of the campaign as Rangers beat Livingston 2-0 in the Scottish Premiership.
Aribo last scored in the Gers win over St. Johnstone, which coincidentally was also the game he picked up an injury that ruled him out for six weeks.
The former Charlton star made his return from injury in Rangers victory over Celtic last week, coming on as a substitute in the 90th minute.
He was also a second-half substitute in the Gers Europa League win over Standard Liege on Thursday. However, on Sunday, Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard handed the Nigerian a start and Aribo rewarded the former Liverpool star by scoring Rangers first goal.
The 24-year-old put the Gers ahead inside nine minutes, finishing off a ball from Romanian winger, Ianis Hagi.
Jermaine Defoe then doubled Rangers lead six minutes later, which eventually sealed a comfortable win for Gerrard’s men.
With victory secured, Gerrard took off Aribo in the 75th minute for Scott Arfield. Meanwhile, his international teammate, Leon Balogun, was an unused substitute.
